![]() ![]() ![]() I’m thankfully not scared at all but very respectful of my limitations. Thankfully he was sold so I won’t have to see him again lol I’m glad to see someone else on here who rides regularly and came back well. Yes!! I broke my leg on a new horse at work, wasn’t his fault, it was his first ride and he bolted out from under me before I was fully on. I mostly just want to vent and cry a little bit, but if you've been through this I'd really appreciate any notes about your journey. ![]() The look on her face when I told her my pain was a 2, made my stomach drop. I just thought it was swelling since it wasn't excruciatingly painful. Has anyone ever had that happen? Did you ever get your bone to heal? I think its been like this since I noticed some additional swelling back in August, but since my insurance company was jerking me around I didn't have the will to get it checked out. I'll find out on Monday during my follow up. My surgeon didn't show up to my appointment, so I saw his PA, so I'm not really sure what this means or what is going to happen, other than fairly urgent surgery in the next week. They did a routine x-ray and discovered that my fibula plate is snapped completely in half and I have a non-union. Today I went back to my surgeon just to see if we could talk about some ligament pain I was having on the top part of my ankle, and maybe even talk about having my plates out. I've been able to walk, hike, cycle, horseback ride with pretty minimal issue. I had a bimalleolar tib/fib fracture back in March, two plates put in, and have been on the healing train ever since. ![]()
